Fall Fly Fishing in Park City
Temperatures are dropping and fall is coming. Fly fishing is still doing great though. Just because it is a little colder in the morning doesn’t mean it’s not a great time to get out. Just put a few more layers on and lets catch some fish. We love this time of the year because even when you do the afternoon trip it is not too hot. Everyone is heading back to school and work since summer vacation is over so this is the perfect time to come to Park City and get some fly fishing in. The river is less busy so that gives almost the whole river to yourself and the guide.
Park City Fly Fishing in The Fall
Not only is the fishing still good in the fall time, the scenery is unbelievable! The leaves are changing to gorgeous colors so it makes it for a great view to look at while catching some great fish. Not to mention the pictures will be beautiful. The fish during this time are active and hungry. In the fall the water temperatures drop to a cooler temp so it will make the fish more active. More active fish mean they tend to get hungrier so they tend to take your fly better. The cooler water temps have the fish in a frenzy because they know that food supply will drop which make them feed more aggressively. They like to pack on the weight before the food supply dwindles.
Fall brings on a spawn. Brown Trout is one of the fish that spawn during the fall. The spawn means that the fish are less aware than normal so they are willing to bite at anything. Brown Trout are our most common fish that we catch so this is a great time to go out and catch them. Here you can check the water temps and the flow for the river. Call us anytime if you would like to come out and fish with us, you will not regret it!
