Middle Provo River Fishing Report
We are here to start giving you a fishing report weekly for some local Utah Rivers. The rivers that we will mainly focus on is the Middle Provo River, Lower Provo river, and the Weber River. This week will be the Middle Provo River Fishing Report. We have had a great month so far on the middle Provo and can’t wait for the last few weeks in August. This time of year is great for fishing because temperatures start to drop a little so it’s not too hot but not too cold.
This weeks report comes from our guide Tim Nation. You can view his bio on our website under the guides tab or just click here. The early mornings or evenings have been the best times to get out on the river. If you are going in the morning, make sure to get out by 7 or 8 to beat the crowds and to get the best spot. In the afternoon, we like to start around 1 p.m.. The flies that we have been catching fish on lately are:
Size 10 and 12 Olive Elk Hair Caddis Size 22 Black Zebra Midge and Cream Bling Midge Size 20 Split Case PMD
Our scale on how we would rate the fishing this week is 4 out of 5! Come back next week to see our next fishing report. If you ever have any questions, give us a call at (888) 376-0770.
