Things to do in the winter in Utah
Are you planning on coming out to Utah for winter/Christmas break? Need ideas on what you can do while you visit? You came to the right place! Here, we will tell you some must do things while you’re here in Utah. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (888) 376-0770.
1- Fly Fishing near Park City Utah
Of course this is going to be first on our list, but in our opinion, it’s the best. Fly Fishing goes year round here in Utah. We fish rain, snow, or shine. Winter fly fishing can be cold but is so worth it. November is known for being able to catch HUGE fish. One of our clients caught a 34 1/2 inch brown trout which is actually a record breaker. December-February can be really cold but we fish in ankle deep water to keep clients warm. It is nice and peaceful on the river this time of year due to everyone skiing.
2- Ice Fishing near Park City Utah
Second on the list is Ice Fishing! Ice Fishing is great for all ages. Our guides will bring tents, hot chocolate, and heaters for you to be able to enjoy a nice day out fishing. Fly Fishing is good for company retreats, Family vacations, or just if you and your friends want something fun to do! Check out Utah Ice Fishing’s page here.
3- Ice Skating
There are so many Ice Skating rinks around Park City. Click here to see some. Ice Skating is another great family activity or a great date night idea.
4- Tubing at Soldier Hollow
Tubing at soldier hollow is another great family activity. Check out their website here.
5- Midway Ice Castles
The Midway Ice Castles are a must see when you are in Utah. They hand-make these castles out of ice every year. Each year is different so if you have been before, make sure to go again. Here is their website.
