About Park City Fly Fishing Guide Excursions
Fly fishing is one of the best outdoor adventures Provo and Park City, Utah have to offer. If you are considering taking a Park City fly fishing excursion, take a minute to learn exactly what fly fishing is, and how great of an outdoor adventure it will be for you and your loved ones to enjoy. Fly Fishing is an angling method of fishing using an artificial fly to catch fish. Not only is a special fishing rod required but a special technique is also used when casting because of the nearly weightless fly being used to lure in the fish. The great thing about Park City fly fishing is that anyone can learn how to do it and it can be done in any body of water. Fly fishing in Utah with our pro guides is great because we take you in the water with the fish. You get to stand in the middle of the river and see the fish up close, giving you an entirely unique fishing experience.

Last minute fly fishing
Called Utah Pro Fly Fishing tours up the day before we wanted to fish. They were both flexible and accommodating. We fished in October, what a beautiful time of year! We had a group of four and our guides offered instruction timely and were great teachers to those in the group at all skill levels. Would highly recommend them for your fly fishing needs. I wanted to dry fly and try additional techniques and I had a lot of fun learning and found success.
An Unforgettable Experience
I have spent the majority of my life saltwater fishing in Florida and fishing for trout on spinners in North Carolina so I was looking for a new fishing experience and a place to learn how to fly fish. After doing my research I chose Utah Pro Fly Fishing for my first taste of fly fishing and I will never go with another guide service when visiting Utah. Talking with Justin on the phone he answered all questions and concerns I had about the trip and was more than helpful.
Morgan Nowles was my guide for the full day trip and was able to quickly teach me the basics of fly fishing to get me started. After a few hours of fishing with Morgan it felt like I was spending the day on the river with an old fishing buddy. He was able to put me on fish consistently and was more than professional whenever it came to any questions I had.
Whether this is your first time fishing and need instruction or are in search of a guide while on vacation I have no doubt that Justin, Morgan, and the rest of the guides at Utah Pro Fly Fishing are the right choice for the job. If you’re looking for an experience you will never forget, choose Utah Pro Fly Fishing
Take Your Kids Fly Fishing
This has been on my bucket list for several years, and I am so glad I finally got it done. I have taken my boys ages 17 and 14 out fishing to Alaska, Hawaii, Catalina Island etc… over the years, but never fly fishing. It was my very first time fly fishing too. Justin and Larry were indeed pros and made our experience smooth and hassle free. I highly recommend them and will book them again. Even though I had to reschedule twice on Justin, he handled it with ease. The one lesson learned was that my feel got really cold after a few hours in the water……my youngest one too. Recommend double socks or hand warmers used as feet warmers…hint hint!! Other than that, I have a memory with the boys for a lifetime!! #fishon!!!
Great day on the Provo River with Jerry of Utah Pro Fly Fishing!
Had a great day on the middle and lower reaches of the Provo River with Jerry. He did a great job with tackle, rigging, and netting and his manner and instructions gave me new knowledge even though I have fly fished for years. One of my best days on a larger river. Recommend highly.
Message From the Founder
When I was 12 years old I started fly fishing and found a true passion for it. A friend of the family guided on the Provo River and he often took me with him. I learned the skills of fishing young and it helped shape me into the man I am today. As I developed my talent to catch fish, I realized what joy I got out of teaching others. Watching others smile as they catch their first or thousandth fish is now more rewarding than my own success. I love the relationships that have developed on the river with my clients. I have met wonderful people from all walks of life, all joined by the common thread of fishing! Simply put, Park City fly fish guiding allows me to professionally share my passion and knowledge of fly fishing with others.
As a Park City fly fishing guide on the Provo River, I love being on the water and seeing how the character of the river changes on a daily and sometimes even hourly basis. There is always something new to discover and learn about the river, the fish, and the sport of fly fishing. I love that every time you go out on the water, you will have a new and different experience than the previous time. No two trips are ever the same. Creating this outdoor adventure for others is one of my greatest successes.
